Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Phlebotomy certificate or equivalent training with 2+ years experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification for health care providers.

Responsibilities

• Draws blood via venipuncture for patients of all ages.
• Monitors quality control for supplies and equipment at drawing sites.
• Verifies insurance information using practice management systems and phone.
• Greet and check-in patients, collect co-pays, and manage postings.
• Prepare and provide instructions for specimen collection.
• Maintain logs for phlebotomy and related processes.
• Deliver stat or critical results to providers or RN staff.
• Input laboratory orders in EHR/LIS and retrieve results.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety procedures.
• Coordinate dispatch for STAT specimens and travel to other clinics as needed.
