Job summary

BAART Programs in Hammond, IN is seeking a compassionate Part Time Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist with medication preparation and customer service in an outpatient setting.

You will count tablets, label bottles, maintain inventory, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support patients with courteous, accurate service. A current Pharmacy Technician license in Indiana is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Indiana.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and by phone; answer questions or refer to the pharmacist.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory; anticipate needs and place orders.
• Adhere to safety, infection-control policies and protocols.
• Prepare labels, read orders, assemble medications and IV solutions.
• Record physicians' orders and prescriptions.
• Calculate, record and issue charges; maintain patient records.
• Deliver medications to patients and departments to ensure availability.
• Prepare reports by collecting and summarizing information.
• Contribute to team goals and other related duties.
• Handle stressful situations and interact professionally.
• Must be present during working hours for in-person meetings.
• Other duties, as assigned.
