Job summary

BAART Programs is seeking a compassionate Pharmacy Technician to work alongside the pharmacist in our LaPlace, LA clinic. The role involves assisting with counting tablets, labeling bottles, and maintaining medication inventory to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the relevant state.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and federal/state regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to work within a medical hierarchy and autonomously.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and answer questions, referring to the pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory by checking stock and placing orders.
• Ensure a safe, clean pharmacy per procedures and regulations.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Prepare labels and assemble medications and IV solutions.
• Maintain records of orders and prescriptions.
• Calculate charges and generate revenues.
• Deliver medications to patients and departments.
• Prepare reports and support team objectives.
• Attend in-person meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
