Job summary

BAART Programs in Los Angeles is seeking a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to work with the pharmacist to dispense medications and patient care products. You will help prepare prescribed medications, count tablets, label bottles, and support daily operations.

You must be licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California, demonstrate HIPAA familiarity, strong communication, and be able to work in a busy outpatient setting with diverse patients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person and by phone and assist the pharmacist with questions.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and place orders as needed.
• Ensure a safe, clean and compliant pharmacy environment.
• Adhere to infection-control policies and protect patients and staff.
• Label bottles, count tablets, and prepare medications for dispensing.
• Record physician orders and prescriptions accurately.
• Generate charges and maintain patient records.
• Deliver medications to patients and departments as needed.
• Prepare reports and participate in team efforts.
• Handle stressful situations professionally and maintain accuracy.
• Attend in-person meetings and access a computer in the office.
