Job summary

Prestige Senior Living at Orchard Heights in Salem, OR is seeking a dedicated universal worker to provide direct resident care, help with daily activities, and maintain a positive, home-like environment. You will observe residents, document changes, assist with dining and mobility, and participate in training to meet state requirements, First Aid, CPR, and dementia care standards.

Qualifications

• Must complete and pass competency evaluation within 120 days of employment.
• State-required training including the Revised Fundamentals of Care, Dementia Care, First Aid, CPR and HIV training if not able to provide appropriate documentation of prior training.
• Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct resident care while promoting resident dignity, independence and choice, regularly observes residents’ physical and mental conditions and reports changes.
• Assists with or performs ADL’s, takes vital signs and weights and documents care services provided and observations.
• Assists residents to and from dining room and activities, and supports fire safety and infection control practices.
• Serves meals in the dining room, assists with dining room and kitchen cleanup, and coordinates with coworkers for transfers and move-ins/move-outs.
