Job summary

The Landings of Swansboro is seeking a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support residents with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires empathy, attention to detail, and a commitment to residents’ dignity. Education: HS diploma or GED preferred; 1 year in care settings preferred; CPR/First Aid preferred. Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents, assisting with ADLs.
• Monitor health changes and report to nursing staff; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster companionship and engagement; encourage participation in activities.
• Maintain safe, clean living areas and follow infection control protocols.
