Job summary

The Landings of Rocky Mount Mills is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide direct care and support for residents in a senior living setting. You will assist with activities of daily living, promote independence, and contribute to a safe, nurturing environment.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, a compassionate and patient demeanor, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Completion of a state-approved PCA, CNA, or caregiver training program preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in personal care, senior living, or healthcare preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Support meal preparation, feeding assistance, and hydration as needed.
• Help residents maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in health to nursing staff; assist with medication reminders.
• Foster relationships and encourage participation in activities for engagement.
• Maintain clean, safe living areas and follow infection control protocols.
