Job summary

Personal Home Care of North Carolina is seeking energetic Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide in-home care under supervision of nursing staff. The role involves supporting daily living activities, assisting with hygiene, mobility, meals, and documentation for client care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification or CNA/PCA experience, a valid driver's license, and ability to pass background checks and a drug test. Weekend availability is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification preferred; CNA/PCA experience valued.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Must pass a national background check and drug test.
• Ability to lift/move clients as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; team player.
• Flexibility for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Support mobility and transfers (wheelchair/walker).
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning).
• Document client care and progress accurately.
• Communicate with office staff, RNs, and family as needed.
