Job summary

Personal Home Care of North Carolina is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to support clients at home or in facility settings under supervision of a RN or therapist. You will assist with daily living activities and ensure comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include hygiene, mobility, meals, reminders, light housekeeping, and documenting care; must have CNA certification or CNA experience, valid driver’s license, and pass background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA certification or prior CNA/PCA experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Pass national background check and drug test.
• Ability to lift and move clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal hygiene, mobility/transfers, meal prep, and medication reminders.
• Provide light housekeeping and document care and progress.
• Communicate with office staff, RNs and family as needed.
