Job summary

ComForCare Greensboro is seeking an experienced Personal Care Assistant to support clients in private home settings. You will help with daily activities, personal care, and mobility, delivering compassionate, reliable care each day.

The role offers a starting pay of $15-$16 per hour, a chance to develop caregiving skills, and meaningful impact while working with a supportive team. Prior home health experience is preferred, with strong communication and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with personal transportation and car insurance/registration.
• At least one year of home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes experience is required.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's/dementia/memory care and hospice care is highly valued.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate mobility aids safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Monitor health, observe changes, and report findings to family and supervising healthcare professional.
• Support medication administration through reminders and adherence to care plans and HIPAA rules.
• Prepare or warm nutritious meals and assist with eating when necessary.
• Operate mobility devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs for safe transfers.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment with light housekeeping tasks.
• Document patient progress and communicate with supervisory nurse for continuity of care.
