Altra Homecare Group is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide in-home personal care services tailored to meet each patient’s needs. You will assist with daily living tasks, monitor health, and support families while maintaining safety and privacy standards.

The role requires compassionate individuals with CPR certification, a valid driver’s license, and reliable auto insurance. Prior experience is preferred; training must follow state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Current CPR certification.
• Comply with training requirements as per State and Federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry when necessary.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Report significant changes in the patient's condition directly to their supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with patient feeding when required.
• Monitor and record patient temperature.
• Assist patients with ambulation.
• Conduct range of motion exercises and other simple physical activities.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and adhere to care protocols.
• Follow privacy policies and infection control guidelines.
• Offer bathing assistance.
• Perform light housekeeping.
• Provide companion services, including letter-writing and reading.
