Job summary

Victorian Senior Care is seeking a dedicated aide in an Assisted Living Community to provide daily living assistance per individualized care plans. The role includes helping residents with ADLs, dressing, mobility, and personal care tasks as trained, with RN oversight as needed.

Responsibilities include responding to calls, assisting with transportation, supporting activities, and maintaining dignity and safety for residents.

Qualifications

• Must have or obtain CNA or Personal Care Aide Certificate (80-Hour) with Personal Care Aide Training within 6-Months of hire.
• Must read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to Lift, Push, Pull and Carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have no substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program and maintain during employment.
• Must have a clear SBI record and maintain during period of employment.
• Must have two-step tuberculin skin test (first test prior to hire and second test within two weeks of first test).

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living according to Care Plan.
• Assure residents are dressed appropriately.
• Assist and teach residents self-help skills to maximize independence.
• Provide personal care tasks based on training and RN approval.
• Respond to calls and assist residents with transportation when indicated.
• Assist Activities Coordinator with planned activities.
• Maintain clothes, beds, towels and personal items in proper order.
• Assist with using, emptying and cleaning resident equipment as needed.
• Ensure snacks and mealtime assistance for residents.
• Orient new residents admitted to the home.
• Maintain safety, confidentiality and compliance with policies and procedures.
