Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate for Personal Care Aide or CNA license is required.
• Prefer prior experience providing personal care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Assists with care of teeth and mouth.
• Grooming and hair care assistance.
• Assist bathing in bed, tub, or shower.
• Provide routine skin care; avoid prescribing meds.
• Assist with dressing and undressing.
• Assist turning, transferring, and ambulating up to 40 lbs.
• Assist with toilet needs and bedpan use.
• Assist eating or feeding.
• Supervise safety when no other support is available.
• Provide routine wound care with soap and water.
• Check vital signs and report as required.
• Prepare and serve meals.
• Wipe dishes and clean kitchen areas.
• Make beds and change linens.
• Clean rooms and bathrooms; maintain confidentiality.
• Order supplies for individuals as needed.
• Wash client laundry if no family help.
• Attend training hours as scheduled by RN Supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
