Job summary

The Blake at Carnes Crossroads in Summerville, SC is seeking a Personal Assistant to support residents in assisted living and memory care. You will provide companionship, help with daily activities of living, monitor health changes, and document progress to keep families and staff informed.

Ideal candidates demonstrate a caring heart, are flexible for weekends/holidays, and may hold a CNA certification. CPR/First Aid is preferred; prior experience with older adults is a plus.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate approach and willingness to serve others.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CNA certification preferred; not required unless state mandates.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.
• Flexible to work weekends and holidays; experience with older adults preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides companionship and engages residents in activities of daily living.
• Performs tasks such as bathing, dressing, feeding as needed.
• Reports health changes and records daily progress data sheets.
• Assists with memory and performance improvement activities.
• Lights housekeeping and laundry; assists with dining as needed.
