Job summary

The Blake at Carnes Crossroads in Summerville, SC is seeking a Personal Assistant to support residents in assisted living and memory care. You will provide companionship, help with daily activities of living, monitor health changes, and document progress to keep families and staff informed.

Ideal candidates demonstrate a caring heart, are flexible for weekends/holidays, and may hold a CNA certification. CPR/First Aid is preferred; prior experience with older adults is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assists with memory and performance improvement activities.
• Lights housekeeping and laundry; assists with dining as needed.

We are currently looking for a Personal Assistant for The Blake at Carnes Crossroads

Primary Responsibilities of the Personal Assistant:

• Supports our assisted living and memory care residents by providing companionship, supportive listening and activities of daily living, i.e. bathing, dressing, feeding, etc.
• Reporting changes in the health and status of the resident and completing daily data sheets to record progress.
• Assists residents with memory and performance improvement programs.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Assists with dining as needed or directed by leadership team.
• Assists with activities to keep residents engaged and happy.

Requirements

• Must have a caring heart and willingness to serve others
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred but not required unless state requirement
• CPR/First Aid, preferred
• Must be flexible and prepared to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
• Experience working with older adults preferred
