Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is a per diem driving role responsible for safe patient transportation to and from inpatient and outpatient programs. The position operates on a set weekly schedule with either the morning or afternoon shift, focusing on timely, compassionate service.

Ideal candidates hold a valid NJ/PA driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, a clean DMV record, and a high school diploma. Prior behavioral health transport is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid New Jersey or Pennsylvania driver's license in good standing with state.
• CPR/First Aid required.
• Have an acceptable driving record which will be verified through the state DMV; no outstanding violations permitted.
• Must agree to abide by and follow all policies and safety training as required.
• High School or GED required.
• Must be able to operate Hampton vehicles which include passenger vans and an SUV.
• One year previous experience transporting patients and/or working in a mental health facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation of patients to and from Hampton Behavioral Health Center.
• Plan and coordinates travel routes to minimize transportation time and length of stay on the van.
• Assist patients with mobility restrictions such as wheelchairs or walkers as needed.
• Observe and follow hospital policies on safety, fire, infection control and confidentiality.
