Job summary

Hampton Behavioral Health Center is seeking a per diem driver to provide safe transportation for patients between inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires careful route planning, adherence to safety protocols, and a courteous, confidential demeanor in interactions with patients and staff.

The position supports both morning and afternoon shifts, with a focus on timely transport while complying with driving and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid New Jersey or Pennsylvania driver's license in good standing with state is required.
• CPR/First Aid Required.
• Have an acceptable driving record which will be verified through the state DMV; no outstanding violations permitted.
• Must agree to abide by and follow all policies and safety training as required.
• Must be able to operate Hampton vehicles which include passenger vans and an SUV.
• One year previous experience transporting patients and/or working in a mental health facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and timely transportation of patients to and from Hampton Behavioral Health Center, including inpatient and outpatient appointments, therapy groups, and day/evening programs.
• Plan and coordinate travel routes to minimize transportation time and length of stay on the van.
• Demonstrate courteous, professional, compassionate demeanor while ensuring patient confidentiality.
• Observe emergency preparedness and medical center safety policies and regulations.
