Job summary

Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support nurses and care teams by sanitizing rooms, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with meals and personal care.

You will document care in the EHR, communicate patient needs, and participate in hand-offs. Candidates with CNA/STNA or nursing program with clinicals, BLS preferred, EPIC training a plus, and acute care experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Problem-solving and strong communication are essential.
• Interpersonal skills and professional conduct are required.
• EPIC EHR training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care including comfort, vitals, hygiene and mobility assistance.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participates in hand-off reports with the care team.
• Performs delegated tasks after competency validation.
• Encourages patient independence and safety in mobility.
