Job summary

Americare Senior Living in Smyrna, TN is seeking a compassionate Personal Care Attendant (PCA) to support residents’ daily living and emotional well‑being in a home‑like setting. You will work alongside a caring team of nurses and aides to ensure safety, dignity, and quality of life.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor residents, document care, and help create meaningful connections with residents and families in a supportive, resident‑centered culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR and BLS certifications are a plus — training available.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide compassionate physical and emotional support while preserving resident dignity.
• Monitor resident safety and observe for signs of distress or changes in condition.
• Accurately document resident care, activities, and changes as required.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and fellow caregivers regarding resident needs.
• Engage residents in activities promoting physical, emotional, and social well‑being.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Support a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment.
