Job summary

Virtua Health in Camden seeks a part-time Transporter to move patients between units using wheelchairs and stretchers, ensuring safety and clear communication with nurses. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent; CPR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments/units. Ensure patient identification, comfort and safety, and relay information to nurses and testing departments as needed.
• Care for and clean wheelchairs/stretchers and initiate repairs as necessary; monitor oxygen and adjust regulators.
• Coordinate with other transporters to maintain smooth patient flow and communicate patient information to relevant staff.
