Job summary

Berger Health System is seeking a patient transport associate to move patients between departments during the night shift. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and proper use of patient transport equipment.

You will help ensure smooth flow of care by supporting clinical teams and maintaining carts and wheelchairs. The position requires BLS certification and a high school diploma or GED, with after-hire training in cardiac telemetry as applicable across Riverside, Grant, Dublin and Doctors

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to and from various departments in a safe and efficient manner.
• Uses utility life equipment as trained.
• Maintains equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Cleans carts and wheelchairs.
• Locates equipment and restocks oxygen for the next day.
• Responds to code assist with proper equipment.
• As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing duties.
