Job summary

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a PRN Patient Transport Associate to move patients between clinical, ancillary, and support areas using wheelchair, bed, or cart. The role involves transferring patients with oxygen tanks, IV pumps, and other equipment, with assistance to bed or stretcher as needed.

Typical hours are 8-hour shifts starting as early as 5:30am, Monday through Friday; high school diploma or GED and BLS certification within 30 days are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Previous transport experience preferred or training available.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas using wheelchair, bed, or cart.
• Assist patients during transfers to or from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers.
• Move patients with oxygen tanks, IV pumps, and other equipment as needed.
• During discharge, assist patients in and out of vehicles.
