Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers in Florida is seeking a dependable Patient Transporter to provide safe, timely transportation for patients throughout their treatment journey. This role ensures patients arrive at appointments, programming, and discharge destinations safely and respectfully, in line with organizational standards.

As a Patient Transporter, you will collaborate with clinical and operations teams, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Minimum age 21 for insurance eligibility.
• Ability to operate company vehicles safely.
• Strong communication and professionalism in patient-facing situations.
• Experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients to and from appointments and discharge destinations.
• Ensure on-time transport aligned with programming and facility needs.
• Maintain patient safety, dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries during transports.
• Communicate effectively with clinical and operations staff to coordinate transportation schedules and patient needs.
• Report patient concerns, incidents, or behavioral observations to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
