Job summary

Virtua Medical Group in Marlton, NJ is hiring a Patient Transporter for a part-time, per diem role. The transporter will assist and support all departments by safely transporting patients to and from units/departments, using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.

Responsibilities include patient identification, ensuring comfort and safety, and coordinating with nurses and testing areas. The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, a positive demeanor, and strong verbal communication.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a positive demeanor and have strong verbal communication skills.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from departments/units using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds.
• Care for and clean wheelchairs and stretchers; initiate repairs as needed.
• Coordinate with other transporters to ensure smooth transport operations; communicate patient information to nurses and testing departments.
