Job summary

Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Transporter to safely transport patients and visitors to their destinations. You will document service requests, maintain equipment, and support department initiatives to improve quality and service.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of customer service experience, and active Basic Life Support certification with completion within 60 days of hire. Join a team committed to compassionate care and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum experience: 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Preferred experience: Patient transportation.
• Required courses: Active healthcare provider BLS on hire (ARC or AHA); must have BLS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and visitors safely and efficiently.
• Maintains clean and functional wheelchairs, stretchers, and equipment.
• Assists in orientation and training of new employees.
• Participates in performance reviews and quality improvement efforts.
• Uses resources and supplies appropriately and maintains a safe environment.
