Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS through American Heart Association required or within 90 days of employment.
• Preferred: At least 1 year experience with patient transport handling.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients as assigned.
• Verify patient identity using two patient identifiers.
• Disinfect/wipe down equipment with approved cleaning product between transports.
• Assist patients onto transport equipment and provide help as needed.
• Notify nursing or ancillary staff on arrival or departure of patients.
• Maintain transport equipment cleanliness and report maintenance needs.
• Follow infection control precautions and PPE protocols during transports.
