Job summary

Memorial Healthcare System is seeking an attentive transporter to move patients and equipment throughout the facility in Miramar, FL. The role includes assisting with lifts, transfers, and providing directions to patients and visitors.

Required is a High School Diploma and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. No prior experience is required, and candidates must be able to work nights in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• No prior experience required to apply.

Responsibilities

• Delivers equipment to requesting staff or department.
• Assists staff with removal of deceased bodies from units and transport to morgue.
• Assists staff with lift assists and repositioning of patients when needed.
• Assists patients with entering and exiting vehicles, including transfer from or to wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Transports patients via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or neuro chair to designated sites as requested.
• Greets and provides information and direction to patients and visitors.
