Job summary

Bridgeport Hospital, part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking a Patient Transport team member to support our patient care team.

Under the direction of the Service Response Center Supervisor, this role transports patients to diagnostic departments and from Admitting to patient units, assists nursing staff, and handles lab specimens and oxygen equipment.

Excellent English, good interpersonal skills, and a high school diploma are required; one year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required for candidates hired on or after 05/01/2004.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper and safe patient transportation to all areas.
• Enforces department safety policies and procedures to assure patients, staff and visitor safety.
• Completes oxygen rounds as assigned following the oxygen rounds sheets.
