Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) certification is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and transport heavy items.
• Strong English comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Performs the safe, timely transport of patients interdepartmentally and upon discharge.
• Accurately reports any observed patient status change needs to RN.
• Promptly responds to stat calls and meets requests of clinical staff.
• Conducts rounds for the proper, timely delivery and pickup of supplies, records, specimens, xrays, orders and equipment.
• Responsible for the transport of patient valuables/belongings and ensures they accompany patient.
• Maintains department stretchers, wheelchairs in patient ready condition.
