Job summary

UHC United Hospital Center in the United States seeks a patient transport employee to move patients to and from the Diagnostic Services Department. Responsibilities include accurate transport records, RIS check-in/out, and safe handling of medical equipment and supplies.

Shift is Day, full-time, non-exempt, with exposure to clinical environments. Required high school diploma and CPR within 90 days of hire; preferred completion of a patient care aide training program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Preferred completion of a patient care aide training program.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate records of patient transport to and from D.S. Department.
• Utilizes RIS to properly check-in and check-out patients.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.
• Demonstrates proficiency with stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and PPE.
• Communicates and provides a safe environment for patients across all ages.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

CPR certification within 90 days of hire
