Job summary

Trinity Health is looking for a Part-time Transporter for the Day shift (7:00am–3:30pm) who will move patients safely within the hospital and support timely care. The role includes working every other weekend and holiday, with responsibilities for accurate patient handoffs and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods; lift and transfer patients safely.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with hospital staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize patient transports and resolve care issues per policies.
• Transfer and transport patients independently to and from locations including morgue.
• Follow departmental productivity standards and use proper body mechanics.
• Maneuver transport equipment and supplies within guidelines.
• Greet patients, explain purpose of transport, and communicate with staff and families.
• Verify patient identity and transport destination; maintain safety and infection control.
• Record accurately and maintain equipment and supplies; attend CPR training as needed.
