Job summary

Lansdale Hospital is seeking a Regular full-time Transporter to move patients to designated areas such as inpatient beds, surgery, therapy, or radiology in a safe, timely manner. You will monitor patients en route, respond to condition changes, and ensure equipment is disinfected after each transport in line with infection control policies.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• BLS - Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients to their inpatient beds and/or to other areas such as surgery, therapy, or radiology in a safe and timely manner.
• Monitors patient’s status enroute and responds to changes in patient condition.
• Decontaminates equipment after each transport in compliance with the Equipment Contamination Policy.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the hospital's core values.

Education
