Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients to alleviate fears and ensure comfort.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, ensuring safe handling.
• Transport patients to units or imaging modalities within expected time frames and bring along charts.
• Maintain open communication with Dispatch/Modality/Unit to report receipt, changes, or delays.
• Handle patient support equipment safely and remove unsafe equipment from service.
• Obtain supplies from central supply as requested.
• Follow isolation protocols and proper PPE usage during transport.
• Use two patient identifiers to correctly identify patients.
