Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
• Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from various departments via wheelchair or stretcher in a safe and timely manner.
• Transport patients to the morgue as needed.
• Assist patients from the bed to the wheelchair or stretcher safely.
• Utilize proper body mechanics when moving equipment and supplies.
• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor or department head.
• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety standards.
• Respond to pages and forms of communication.
• Participate in Performance Improvement activities through quality measurement.
