Job summary

Qualifications

• Healthcare or patient support experience 0–1 years required.
• BCLS certification required by orientation period.
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients between departments, maintaining comfort and dignity.
• Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds using proper lifting techniques.
• Coordinate with nursing staff and physicians to prioritize transport needs.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized transport environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Follow safety guidelines for patient handling and report concerns promptly.
• Assist with moving medical equipment, supplies, and documents as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and reassurance to patients and families.
• Document transport activities accurately in logs or electronic systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
