Job summary

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking a Patient Transporter to provide essential patient transport and related services across the campus. You will ensure a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience for both inpatients and outpatients while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will verify patient identity, assist with transfers, and monitor patient conditions, reporting any issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas promptly and safely.
• Verify patient identity and greet/assist during transfers.
• Monitor patient condition during transport and report any issues to the nurse or physician.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and report malfunctioning equipment.
• Communicate wait times and assist with patient comfort and safety as needed.
