Allure of Stockton is seeking a reliable Transportation Driver to safely transport residents to activities, appointments, and outings. This part-time role emphasizes customer service, safety, and accurate reporting, with responsibilities for loading, securing wheelchairs, and navigating routes.

The position requires an Illinois driver’s license, appropriate class licenses, and compliance with DOT medical standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Active Illinois Driver's License required.
Class C license with passenger endorsement for 15+ passengers.
Class E license for 14 or fewer passengers.
DOT compliant medical exam.
Annual physician's statement for drivers age 71–74 for 15+ passenger vehicles.
Experience as a bus/van driver preferred.
CNA license preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Writing and computer skills for reports and scheduling.

Responsibilities

Provide high level customer service while transporting residents to activities, appointments, and outings.
Assist residents with boarding, seating, and with groceries and packages.
Monitor resident safety during transport and at entry/exit points.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep vehicle clean.
Follow safety procedures; report hazards, equipment issues, and incidents to supervisor.
Communicate schedule progress and follow additional instructions from facilities.
Operate GPS, two-way radio, or cell phone for navigation.
Maintain accurate activity and vehicle logs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
