Job summary

Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is currently seeking a dependable Part-Time Transportation Driver to join our team. You will provide safe, reliable transportation for residents to medical appointments, community events, and other activities.

In this role, you will coordinate with physicians’ offices, families, and staff, assist residents in entering and exiting vehicles, and keep transportation records accurate while maintaining a courteous and compassionate service mindset.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license with no more than three entries (accidents, moving violations, etc.).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Dependable attendance and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact professionally and compassionately with residents, families, and staff.
• Commitment to providing safe, respectful, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for residents to medical appointments, community events, and other scheduled activities.
• Confirm resident appointments and transportation needs with physicians' offices and other providers.
• Coordinate transportation schedules and communicate arrangements with residents, families, and appropriate staff members.
• Assist residents with entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
• Ensure the transportation vehicle is clean, safe, and properly prepared before each trip.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures and facility transportation policies.
• Maintain accurate transportation records and schedules.
• Complete clerical duties related to administrative transfers and discharges as needed.
• Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to residents and their families.
