Job summary

Sky Heart Home Care Services in Henderson, NC, and surrounding areas is seeking a compassionate Care Transport Associate (Driver) to safely transport clients to medical appointments, therapy sessions, and other activities. You will assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, maintain a clean and safe vehicle, and coordinate with care teams to meet client needs.

The role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, strong communication, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

Valid driver's license with no major violations in the past 3 years.
Must have own reliable transportation.
Ability to assist clients with limited mobility, including lifting and transferring as needed.
Background check and drug screening required.
CPR/First Aid, PASS training and Defensive Driving training provided by the company.

Responsibilities

Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, errands, and other destinations.
Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle.
Communicate with care coordinators regarding scheduling and client needs.
Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior to appropriate staff.
Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
Provide courteous, patient-centered service to all clients and families.
