Job summary

Sky Heart Home Care Services in Leland, NC is seeking a compassionate Care Transport Associate (Driver) to safely transport clients to medical appointments and community activities.

You will be the face of Sky Heart Transport, providing patient, reliable service while maintaining clean vehicles and following safety policies; must have a valid license, reliable transportation, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with no major violations in the past 3 years.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Prior transportation work is preferred but not required.
• Ability to assist clients with limited mobility and transfers as needed.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid, PASS training and Defensive Driving training available through the company.
• Strong empathy, patience, and comfortable using mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments, errands, and other destinations 50 miles or more.
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting the vehicle, including mobility challenges.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle at all times.
• Communicate effectively with care coordinators regarding scheduling and client needs.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
• Provide courteous, patient-centered service to all clients and families.
