Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking an entry-level Transportation Associate to transport patients between departments, assist with equipment, and support the transport team in a busy hospital setting. You will coordinate with nursing staff, ensure patient comfort, and help maintain safety and infection-control standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, prior healthcare experience, and Basic Life Support (BLS).

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to destinations as assigned.
• Assist with equipment requests, oxygen rounds, and other support tasks.
• Notify nursing staff on arrival; verify patient identification.
• Complete transport quickly and notify staff when assignments start and finish.
• Disinfect transport equipment before and after use; return to storage.
• Conduct rounds to ensure equipment is properly stored and ready for use.
• Maintain adherence to all policies, procedures and safety standards.
