Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Pt Safety Companion to provide supportive patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or other healthcare professional, in compliance with regulations and hospital policies. The role focuses on patient comfort, safety, and effective communication within the care team.

Candidates should have recent healthcare experience, ability to work in a team, and a willingness to follow directions and participate in hand-offs.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to the patient including care and hygiene, toileting, and mobility.

• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Provides high-level customer service to all patients, family, visitors, and employees.
• Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information upon arrival and departure.
