The role involves documenting interactions, explaining hospice services, and supporting the care team in a fast-paced environment. Required education includes a high school diploma or GED, strong computer and data-entry skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong computer and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Proof of required automobile insurance.
• Ability to travel in varying weather conditions when necessary.
• Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check and 10-panel drug screening.
• Two years of customer-service experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls with professionalism, empathy, and exceptional customer service.
• Gather, verify, and document patient and referral information.
• Explain hospice services clearly and answer questions from patients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation of all interactions.
• Work collaboratively with team members and provide support to other departments as needed.
• Participate in quality-improvement initiatives to enhance the patient and family experience.
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members when assigned.
