Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a patient observation team member to perform accurate, continuous observation under the direction of a registered nurse. The role includes assisting with daily activities and ensuring patient safety during shifts.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of prior work experience. Frequent changes to schedules may occur in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of prior work experience preferred.
• Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
• Ability to effectively handle problems and adapt to shifts.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant attendance and ensure patient is visible at all times.
• Assist patients with meals, bathing, and daily living activities as directed.
• Keep dangerous items away and ensure patient safety under RN supervision.
• Transport patients to testing areas and report intake observations to nurse.
• Adapt to changing department needs and staffing patterns as required.
