Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Patient Observation Assistant at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA. The facility offers full-time and part-time schedules with varied days, including 7:00 am–7:30 pm and 7:00 pm–7:30 am shifts; weekends rotating.

Prior healthcare experience is preferred and a CPR/BLS certification is required within 30 days where applicable. The role provides visual/audible observation of assigned patients under RN direction, with reporting,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• CPR AED or BLS-HCP certification within 30 days if required at the facility.
• Ability to walk or stand for prolonged periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• One to two years of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Visually and audibly monitors the patient's condition and behavior at all times.
• Completes observation reports at established intervals.
• Interacts with staff, patients and visitors in a supportive, professional manner.
• Remains at the bedside unless relieved by a staff member.
• Escalates safety concerns to nursing staff as needed.
• Assists in keeping patient rooms safe and orderly.
