Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with food preparation and meal service for patients/residents. You will follow established guidelines for storing, serving, and transporting food and supplies, while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in both the kitchen and dining areas.

The role involves assisting cooks, delivering trays, preparing nourishments, and ensuring accurate recordkeeping of temperatures and substitutions. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• None, on-the-job training is provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred.
• Long term care dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents; i.e. salads and desserts and other dishes.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls and serves meals in dining area.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and records substitutions.
• Cleans tables after meals and maintains sanitation of work areas.
• Follows infection control policies and safety procedures.
