Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietetic Aide HCC to assist with meal preparation, tray delivery, and serving in patient care settings. The role emphasizes proper food handling, sanitation, and adherence to infection control guidelines within a long-term care environment.

The position involves supporting cooks, delivering meals, and performing related tasks to ensure patient nourishment and comfort. Training is provided on-site, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• On-the-job training is provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents; salads and other dishes.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area; food and beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments and serves per guidelines.
• Assists with proper food handling processes and policies.
• Cleans tables in dining area after meals and cleans work areas at shift end.
