Job summary

PruittHealth is seeking a Dietary Aide HCC to assist with food preparation and meal service in a patient-centered setting. You will follow established guidelines for food handling, sanitation, and safety while supporting the dietary manager and care team.

Responsibilities include tray delivery, meal service, and assisting with nourishments and substitutions. On-the-job training is provided, and prior dietary experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• None, on-the-job training is provided.
• Previous food service and/or food preparation experience preferred, long term care dietary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing meals, desserts and snacks for patients/residents.
• Delivers trays to patients/residents on halls.
• Delivers and serves meals to patients/residents in dining area; food and beverages.
• Prepares between-meal nourishments (sandwiches, etc.) and serves per guidelines.
• Offers menu substitutions and records them per guidelines.
• Follows procedures for serving partner meals.
• Communicates with patients/residents and families with a warm, friendly demeanor and answers questions professionally.
• Cleans dining area and work areas; cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment.
