Mercy Health's Lourdes Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide essential care under RN supervision. Responsibilities include sanitizing rooms, monitoring vitals, and assisting with patient needs while maintaining compassionate, respectful service.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, collaboration with nursing staff, and adherence to EPIC EHR workflows. Requires nursing aide training and BLS; opportunity for growth within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a nursing aide training program OR STNA/Nurse Aide certification or equivalent.
• Alternative: nursing program with one clinical nursing course and rotation or 1 year of clinical experience acceptable.
• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred on hire and must be obtained from an approved source before direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including comfort, vitals, personal care and mobility support.
• Act as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes and concerns.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participate in hand-off reports and update pertinent information on arrival and departure.
