Job summary

MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the patient-centered care team under RN supervision. You will assist with ADLs, support procedures, collect specimens, and document health data as part of a collaborative care approach.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen collection, biopsies as applicable, and helping with patient transport and daily activities, while maintaining dignity and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved Patient Care Technician training program is required.
• CNA certification may be required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Collect specimens, perform phlebotomy, obtain EKGs, and document in health record.
• Support procedures, transport patients, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness, monitor vital signs, and participate in care rounds.
